The Fiera di Roma has held ExpoCartoon, a trade fair of national importance, since 1988. It is popular with the public as well as with Italian publishing houses, who launch new publications, while at the exhibitions and conferences figures from the world of animation, including authors and artists, are to be found.

Collectors and exhibitors from all over the world are present. A large section is reserved for the best board games and the latest video games.

The best known cartoon schools hold courses and seminars.
