DETAILS
The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of a prestigious palace
(with an elevator and a door-man) very close to Villa Borghese
and Via Veneto and well connected by public transport to the rest
of Rome's Historic Centre. The living room and the master bedroom
face a sunny terrace. The master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable
king-size bed. The
second bedroom is furnished with a sofa bed and TV Colour. The
living room is spacious and furnished with a nice divano, a double
sofa bed, an elegant dinner table, TV colour, telephone. In the
living room there is a fully equipped kitchenette with gas-stove,
oven, fridge, microwave, pots, cutlery. The bathroom is furnished
with a shower stall. There is air conditioning, alarm system and
a safe. The apartment is complete with linens.
AREA
Immediately above Piazza del Popolo, the hill known as the Pincio
marks the edge of the city's core and the beginning of a collection
of parks and gardens that forms Rome's largest central open space
- the Villa Borghese, made up of the grounds of the 17th century
pleasure palace of Scipione Borghese, which were bought by the
city at the turn of the century. It's a vast area, and its woods,
lake and grass crisscrossed by roads are about as near as you
can get to peace in the city centre without making too much effort.
There are any number of attractions for those who want to do more
than just stroll or sunbathe: a tiny boating lake, a zoo and some
of the city's finest museum. The
Pincio isn't formally part of the Villa Borghese, but its terrace
and gardens, laid out by Valadier in the early 19th century and
fringed with dilapited busts of classical and Italian heroes,
give fine views over the roofs, domes and TV antennae of Central
Rome, right across to St. Peter's.
Walking south from here, there are more gardens in the grounds
of Villa Medici, though as the villa is home to the French Academy
these days, they can only be visited on selected days. From
the southern edge of Villa Borghese you find Via Veneto, one of
the most beatiful Roman streets. The pricey bars and restaurants
lining the street where once the haunt of Rome's Beatiful People,
made famous by Fellini's La Dolce Vita.

to EUR 1.50 daily. If the amount exceeds this, (which is generally
very difficult) the balance will be charged to you before vacating
the apartment.
- The final cleaning fee is not included in the price and is requested
of you before entering the apartment. This fee is EUR 38.50.
- Please note for arrivals before 9 am, after 7 pm, on Sundays
or public holidays there is an extra charge of Eur 36.00.
- The prices are seasonal and can therefore be changed.
- The prices depend on the number of people booking the apartment.
