Customer review

Clients from U.S.A.:
"Wonderful location, reasonable price"
"Perfect location, lots of space."
"Excellent location for being able to get around the city on foot. When possible I will recommend your company to others"
"Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful apartment and such a wonderful location. Our two weeks in Rome was filled with sights and sounds that we could never have imagined. All of them good. With two weeks and not trying to see everything Rome has to offer, we were able to get to know some of the chefs, waiters, shop keepers and of course, the ladies at the Tre Scalini Gelato stand, which we called 'le professoresse' because they would correct our pronounciation often.Sometime during our email exchanges you said you would be interested in my opinion of Rome as it is now and Rome in 1971, the first time I visited. In 1971 I was a completely different tourist.I did not know one word of Italian. I had a very limited budget, so I wasn't able to sample the food, other than a large piece of pizza I would purchase each day and this would be pretty much all I ate, other than something from what must have been a tavola calda type place.I seen the normal tourist sites, walking averywhere and not getting into a taxi or autobus. This time we knew enough Italian to 'more' than get by.The Italian people we encountered were so helpful Guglielmo. We had conversations with people sitting next to us at restaurants. We had conversations with people waiting on us in the shops. Many people complimented us on our Italian, even though at this point we are mangling the language. We seen the tourist sites, again walking everywhere.I was able to have early morning conversations with locals at the Piazza Navona with older men, possibly retired but gathering for morning visits.I enjoyed Rome in September of this year much more than my first visit. Our area, Via del Governo Vecchio, was lively, often until around 3am or later. We felt we were part of Rome because it seemed Romans far outnumbered tourists in this area.I'm not sure why, because it is so close to some of the touristy places. I think being able to speak italian in a limited sense made Rome so much more special this time around.I'm positive it made a difference in how people interacted with us. I believe Rome is better now.We walked as far west as the Vatican and as far east as Circo Massimo. We walked to Roman Reference our first Monday and all through Trastevere. With the number of tourists Rome sees everyday, the city was clean, plenty of fountains to quench our thirst and friendly Italian people who always took the time to help us when we asked a question. We will continue our Italian lessons and we will see you again in a year or two.I have already recommended Roman Reference to a few people who are thinking of an Italian vacation. Only drawback, it's a little too lively!"
